XBRL Briefing: Dealing with Mandatory Reporting

Mike Willis has more than 26 years of accounting and auditing experience and is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United States. Mike was the Founding Chairman of XBRL International (http://www.xbrl.org), which is currently composed of more than 640 leading software, accounting and finance companies from 30 countries around the world. Mike has served in a number of roles within the XBRL community and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors and the International Steering Committee. Mike has also played a founding role in the development of national and international consortia working to develop broad corporate reporting frameworks and related taxonomies. He worked along with other founders from Microsoft, the AICPA, and Grant Thornton to form the Enhanced Business Reporting Consortia (“EBRC”). Mike played an active role in EBRC collaboration with similar organizations around the world to form the World Intellectual Capital Initiative ("WICI"), the world’s business reporting network, a private/public sector collaboration aimed at improving capital allocation through better corporate reporting information.
Conor O'Kelly has served two terms as 1st Vice Chairman of XBRL International and a member of the XBRL International Board of Directors. He was founding Chairman of XBRL Europe, the consortium of European XBRL Members, former Chair of XBRL Ireland and represents Ireland on the International Steering Committee of XBRL International. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland with an MSc in IT Management . He has twelve years background in global IT managed services outsourcing, global project management and strategic IT business planning with Hewlett Packard and Ericsson. Conor is a former member of Council of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Harry Goddard is a partner with Deloitte. Harry joined Deloitte as a partner in 2007 from BearingPoint, bringing more than fifteen years experience. At Deloitte he is responsible for the Technology Integration practice, supporting clients in their technology initiatives. He has worked with a range of clients across the public and private sectors, where he has led a number of large technology transformation programmes.
