Terms of Use
The Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) representation of the financial statements of Business Reporting Ireland Limited ("BRIL"), for the year to 31 December 2008, is presented for demonstration purposes ONLY. The representation ("XBRL instance document") is provided "as is" with no warranties or support. The core XBRL taxonomy used is the Irish-GAAP taxonomy. A copy of the taxonomy is published and can be found and downloaded from http://www.xbrl-ie.org/public/article.php?ArticleID=18. This core taxonomy is designed for Commercial and Industrial companies and had to be extended to cater for a "Not for Profit Organisation" such as BRIL. The files related to the extended taxonomy have been included in this zip package together with the instance document.
Future revisions of these files will continue to follow the convention of using distinct target namespaces distinguished by the suffix "-nnn" where nnn is a numeric code. The issue of versioning is currently under discussion in the XBRL Consortium. In certain circumstances, depending on XBRL enabled software in use, it may be necessary to download the XBRL core schemas for the namespace identifier "http://www.xbrl.org/2001/instance". These can be downloaded from the www.xbrl.org web site and should placed in the same directory as the BRIL instance, the core and extended taxonomies. The core taxonomy, denoted as "ie-gaap-ci", and the extended taxonomy denoted as, "ie-gaap-np", have been validated by a number of leading Taxonomy Validation software programs. No errors or warnings were reported that would preclude the practical use of these taxonomies.
